Thank you for your interest in Christmas for Kids 2022! We would love you to record a self-tape audition, following the instructions below and using the sides for the role(s) we have asked you to tape for (click the yellow button to download below).

 

Please apply by uploading your tape to YouTube, Vimeo, Tagmin or any similar platform and send the link only to Sue Appleby at sue@christmasforkids.org.uk. Please do not send through your actual tape to this email address, we just need the viewing link and viewing password if required.

Self-Tape: what to film

​

Please complete all three parts of the self tape as listed below: 

​

1. Introduction

Please start with a slate stating your name and agent (if relevant). Then please outline briefly any recent experience you have of working with children and/or children with additional needs.

 

2. Song

Please sing a song, suitable for a children’s show, which shows your most comfortable vocal range. This can be a cappella, self-accompanied or using a backing track. Please make the song a short version of no more than 2 minutes in length.

 

3. Scenes

Please tape the scene(s) below for the character(s) we have asked you to audition for, using any suggested accents listed for the characters.

**Please use a puppet (or something to the effect eg. a sock) to show lip-syncing**
